Just to let you know how much the time you spent with the kids makes an impression on them for life.  Just an hour after they got home they were ready to come over to my pool.  They wanted to dive more, both Luz jr. and Eric wanted to be teacher and show Richard how to dive and how all the equipment works.  It was so nice to see them all working together going over everything you had taught them.  It was also nice to see them interested in something we can all do together.  As soon as we can find another free day all of us are going to get together with Dori to practice skills in my pool one more time before we try the gulf. 

 

Originally Luz and I were the only ones in my group that were going to get certified.  But because of the discount rate you were offering Luz decided to bring Luz jr and then Javier asked if we could bring his son Eric also.  They weren't sure if the kids were going to get thru the class and weren't going to chance spending the full amount for the class if the kids weren't going to stick with and pass.  I just thought that you might want to know how the deal you offered ended up changing what was going to be another only guys thing to do, into a whole family thing.  I have heard that being a teacher wasn't always about the money, and I hope it helps you to know that you have had a part in keeping two young boys on the right track, and I'm sure the will always think of you and the time we spent together.  They have a long life ahead of them with a lot of bad distractions available but hopefully now they will have something more important to spend their time doing.  I know I will do everything I can to keep them interested and when they are doing something wrong I will always remind them of you and what you taught them to do.
